I never expected to film these images. We trailered Akiywa out to Red Rock country. The clear sky’s quickly gave way to the Wakíŋyaŋ rumbling in from the South West! We took a pause in filming to offer our prayers and songs giving thanks and honor to the Wakíŋyaŋ. The images capture the power and healing rains of Wakíŋyaŋ! Akiywa our horse honored their presence as well, calm, grounded and strong as lighting flashes illuminated a short distance away. It was a profound rare moment.
